This position is 2:00pm-10:00pm varied days of the week.
A Shift Lead is responsible to ensure guest satisfaction by processing transactions efficiently and professionally, maintaining the overall store appearance and properly preparing all deli products. The Shift Lead is also responsible for maintaining proper control of all cash and product and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. The Shift Lead will oversee store operations and provide leadership and direction in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Store Manager and will assist the Management team in training and mentoring new and current employees. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to process information/merchandise through computer or POS register system
Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers
Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation
Ability to freely access all areas of the store
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to operate, use and properly care for all store equipment
Ability to lift, handle or move merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds
Ability to work varied hours/day
Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated
At least 18 years of age
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong decision making and judgement skills
Ability to be adaptable and flexible
Ability to lead and motivate others
Previous experience in a retail environment. Either as a cashier or in sales
Previous general clerical experience and leading others
Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Ability to regularly lift 0-50 pounds
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Ability to reach overhead repeatedly
Ability to bend/stoop/squat frequently and occasionally for extended periods of time
Exposure to outside weather conditions, walk in coolers & freezers, frequently & occasionally
