Job Details Division: Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc. Location: Memphis, TN, United States Other Available Locations: N/A Basic Job Functions Duties will include but are not limited to supplier relations, including vendor evaluations and maintaining all related records (Purchase orders, Purchase agreements, Vendor contracts). The Buyer will be expected to assist the division with procurement functions in negotiating and processing of purchase requests at the best value while maintaining quality and contract regulations that may apply. The Buyer will also be expected to maintain a high quality of customer service and support to the Nucor team. The individual in this position will be expected to back up all Procurement functions. Able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays as business conditions warrant. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma

- Minimum 2 years procurement or related field work experience

- Minimum 2 years inventory management experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite

- Associate or BS Degree in Business (Accounting, Management or related field)

- 2 Years Purchasing / Buyer Experience in Manufacturing Industry

- 2 Years Experience with contracts, negotiations, and commercial insurance requirements
