As Business Operations Lead at APM Steam, you’ll oversee the group that transforms field data into the documentation and pricing our customers and colleagues depend on. You’ll be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across nearly 1,000 projects each year.

Your mission is to change that by engaging people in new ways and partnering with IT to create reliable, scalable, system-driven workflows.
This position is both tactical and strategic: ensuring accurate, timely delivery now, while shaping the tools and processes that will carry APM into the future.
Your Mission: Lead the Business Operations team to deliver professional, timely, customer-facing documentation while creating the systems and processes that eliminate inefficiencies and prepare APM for growth across new service lines. During your first 90 days, you’ll work closely with the current team lead & the Director of Operations to learn existing processes, systems, and team dynamics. After this transition period, you’ll assume full management responsibility for the team and lead the change toward system-driven quoting and reporting.
- Lead and empower a remote team, helping each member grow capability and confidence
- Own the accuracy and timeliness of all customer-facing deliverables by serving as final reviewer
- Maintain and update vendor parts pricing to support accurate quoting
- Lead the transition from Excel tools to Salesforce by turning business needs into structured, automated workflows
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to improve how data is used across the business
- Document, refine, and scale processes so they can be repeated across service lines
- Use data to surface insights that improve customer experience and business performance
- 2 - 6 years in operations, project management, or a related field
- 2+ years managing people, ideally with remote/distributed teams- Skilled Salesforce or another relational database system user. Able to define, document, and communicate change requests to IT
- Proficiency in Excel, able to maintain, adapt, and deconstruct existing tools during the transition, ensuring continuity of reporting and data integrity
