In this job, you’ll oversee project performance across Asset Management & Engineering (AME), to ensure all teams are aligned and executing toward SCE strategic objectives & AME goals. The role involves developing processes and forums and tracking KPIs to monitor process efficiency, accurately measuring workflow efficiency and identifying opportunities for improvement. The Senior Advisor is also tasked with documenting procedures for transitioning emerging technologies into the business, including deployment activities. The role may also involve managing complex technology and deployment projects, such as energy storage and wildfire initiatives, to ensure alignment with SCE’s overarching strategic objectives. - Drives the delivery of analytical support to the enterprise, optimizing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects

- Acts as a key consultant to stakeholders, presenting complex analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations

- Creates and monitors performance dashboards to track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to optimize process improvement activities, and support portfolio operations in developing performance metrics

- Evaluates business operations processes and recommends actions to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing costs

- Performs analyses and evaluates business operational risk requirements, identifying suitable risk mitigations and communicating them to leadership

- Meets with stakeholders to identify their projects' specifics requirements, recommends applicable tools, and provides periodic updates through to project completion

- Optimizes the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the enterprise's objectives

- Works with business planning and performance management teams to develop option sets to meet business planning scenarios considering financial, operational, and regulatory risks and constraints

- Trains newly hired analysts on various aspects of the job they will be undertaking through mentorship

- Drives the validation of established processes to ensure alignment with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk

- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

- Ten or more years of experience performing business operations analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or other relevant discipline. MBA preferred

- Certification in continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Yellow Belt, etc.)

- Understanding of Engineering principles

- Experience in organizational change management methodologies

- Experience creating and delivering presentations to senior leaders and stakeholders

- Experience in developing and executing organizational strategies and objectives

- Project Management Certification

- Experience evaluating cross functional performance in alignment with corporate goals

- Experience working for a utility company

Additional Information

- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
