About The Role
This is your opportunity to be more than a salesperson. As
Business Development Manager - Attachments, you’ll be the driving force behind our
Barracuda Buckets and Attachments across the Americas.
Your mission is simple but powerful:
own the market.
Build relationships with the biggest names in mining, win high-value deals and embed
Schlam Payload products as the first choice for buckets and attachments across American mine sites.
This isn’t about order-taking. It’s about building influence, setting the pace and being the name clients think of when they want productivity and reliability on their sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is not a routine BDM role. You’ll be operating at the sharp end of mining, where decisions worth millions are made.
- Command the market: Position Barracuda Buckets and Attachments as the default choice for mining operators across the Americas.
- Win big deals: Drive capital sales, refurbishment projects and rebuild programs that directly impact client productivity.
- Shape strategy in the field: Turn site visits and client conversations into actionable intelligence that shapes pricing, product development and go-to-market plans.
- Be the trusted advisor: Work alongside mine managers, engineers and executives to tailor solutions that solve real problems and keep competitors locked out.
- Drive face-to-face influence: Travel across the Americas to build trust where it matters most, on the ground and in the boardroom.
- Control the pipeline: Own CRM discipline, ensuring visibility and accuracy on every opportunity and use that data to stay three steps ahead.
- Deliver visible impact: Every deal you close strengthens Schlam’s reputation and cements your role as the person who brought Barracuda and Hercules to the forefront of the market.
About You
You’re not a passive account manager. You’re a hunter with deep mining knowledge and the credibility to back it up.
- Experienced in technical sales with a proven record of closing large, complex deals.
- Confident in heavy equipment and mining attachments including buckets, loaders, shovels, excavators, truck bodies.
- Commercially sharp - pricing, margins and negotiations are where you thrive.
- Skilled at influencing across every level, from engineers on-site to executives in corporate offices.
- Comfortable working independently, disciplined with reporting and relentless in pursuing growth.
- Ideally, you bring a Mechanical Engineering background (MBA a bonus).
