Greylock Midstream, a subsidiary of Greylock Energy, is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Director to grow our natural gas pipeline business. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you will take the lead in generating new opportunities and advancing projects with manufacturers, data centers, and power generators. We have strong momentum, active customers, and a team that can execute new pipeline projects with excellence. We are seeking a self-starter who can build on this foundation, open new doors, and add new business. You will be in front of customers often – evaluating sites, meeting with executives, working with consultants and developers, and positioning Greylock as the go-to solution for projects that need natural gas. Educating prospective customers on the value of this unique model is important. To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to effectively perform the following duties; other duties may be assigned:
- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads through various channels such as outbound outreach, in-person sales visits, phone calls, presentations, conference appearances, LinkedIn, industry databases, and referrals.
- Call on target lists and self-generated lists of ideal clients to foster relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of Greylock’s services to communicate the value and benefits effectively.
- Craft and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase our services
- Assist the VP of Business Development by booking qualified meetings.
- Assist the VP of Business Development with financial modeling, analysis, and deal evaluation.
- Negotiate deal terms and prices, overcoming objections and working to finalize deals.
- Recommend and execute brand-building marketing projects and strategies targeted at increasing the number of new opportunities and proposals.
- Travel within the U.S. to meet with partners and prospects (30%).
- Represent Greylock at industry conferences to find prospects and trends.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- A documented history of successful lead generation or sales success is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of sales or business development experience is required; 8 years of sales or business development experience is preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: industrial construction, industrial real estate, natural gas, energy infrastructure, site selection, or economic development
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) is required.
