Department Overview

Pole Reinforcement plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of California's electric service. We are responsible for reinforcing distribution and transmission poles, utilizing steel stubs, ensuring compliance with CA laws and PG&E standards. Position Summary

The Business Analyst will be supporting the Pole Reinforcement Program, System Inspections by conducting research, performing data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participate in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location, subject to change per business needs.

The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 98,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 146,000.00

OR

Minimum Base Salary (California) $ 93,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California) $ 139,000.00

Job Responsibilities

Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data. Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables. Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders. Understands business operational needs, develops new reports and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences. Manages small to mid-size projects. Communicates with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas or gathering information. Participates on project teams.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required. 4 years of related work experience

Desired:

6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst preferred Ability to build dashboards and tools Advance MS Excel skills (complex formulas) and Power Queries (M-language) Strong project management knowledge and skills to lead project teams Experience with: SQL SQL Server Tableau PowerBI Data modeling Database management Star Schema MS forms SAP Foundry Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics Advanced understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes Creative problem skills to develop solutions Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management Knowledge and understanding of key drivers affecting business results Advanced in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software
