The Work & Asset Management Business Analyst serves as a critical link between IT Services and the Engineering & Operations divisions, ensuring that technology solutions align with operational needs. This role is responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements and processes, writing and executing functional tests, delivering end user training, and providing 1st level support and troubleshooting. In addition, the position leads cross-functional teams to advance technology initiatives and drive continuous improvement projects that enhance organizational performance.
The Business Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization to translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions. They play a key role in identifying improvement opportunities, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring successful adoption of new tools and processes. Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource management systems is highly valued, as is the ability to work effectively in an environment where technology underpins core operational functions.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience supporting engineering or operations departments within an electric utility, particularly on technology-related projects. They communicate clearly across all levels of the organization, possess a strong grasp of technology and its business applications, and exhibit curiosity, humility, and adaptability. Critical qualifications include strong problem-solving skills, the ability to build trust with diverse teams, and a commitment to delivering practical, high-quality solutions.
The Business Analyst II and III uses their analytic capabilities to improve and streamline processes that help the department/organization meet its objectives and reach goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field,
AND
- Two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;
- Four (4) years of experience working in related business function,
AND
- Two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;
- Six (6) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field,
AND
- Four (4) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;
- Four (4) years of experience working in a related business function,
AND;
- Four (4) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;
- Eight (8) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License may be required with a good driving record.
