The Boilermaker is responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and other heavy steel components used in the oil refining industry. This position supports CCI Industrial's client operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable mechanical systems that meet regulatory standards and client specifications. The role requires strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and lay out work.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install boilers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and related equipment.
- Perform cutting, shaping, welding, and bolting of metal plates and sections.
- Inspect and maintain boilers and pressure vessels for leaks, defects, or wear.
- Conduct hydrostatic and other pressure tests to verify equipment integrity.
- Operate hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment for positioning and aligning heavy components.
- Follow all safety procedures, including confined space entry, hot work, and lockout/tagout.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other craft professionals.
- Complete required documentation such as job reports, inspection forms, and maintenance logs.

- Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
- Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
- Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.

- Knowledge of boiler construction, maintenance, and repair practices in the oil refining industry.
- Strong understanding of welding and metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using cutting torches, welding equipment, grinders, and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of OSHA, API, and refinery safety standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Boilermaker or similar craft in industrial or refinery environments.
- Proficient in welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) and fabrication.
- Valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Safety Essentials Card
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pass CCI Industrial pre-employment background check, drug/alcohol screening, and physical.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Boilermaker apprenticeship program.
- NCCER Boilermaker certification or equivalent.
- API 510/570 knowledge or experience with pressure vessel inspections.
- Additional certifications in rigging, crane signaling, or safety (OSHA 30, confined space rescue, etc.).
- 5+ years of boilermaker experience in an oil refinery or petrochemical facility.- Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man. Have correctable vision to at least 20/40.
RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
