Western Explosives Systems Company – WESCO - is a full-service drill and blast company. This is hard, physical, and fast paced work. Employees will be working with explosives products.

Position: Assistant to blaster.

Qualifications:

- Pass a background check with no felonies.

- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to competently complete inventory records and daily inspections.

- Reliable, responsible, and ready to learn.

Job Description:

· Load and unload explosives products and equipment.

· Maintain magazine and customer sites.

· Operate trucks, skid steers and other required equipment.

· Assist blaster in loading, tying in and stemming of holes.

· Perform work in accordance with all safety regulations.

· Proactively seek knowledge of products and blasting practices.

Working Environment: Must be able to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, temperatures and climate. Must wear personal protective equipment when required.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10 – 12 Hour Shifts

The schedule may fluctuate but is generally 40 to 55 hours per week, Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work. Must have reliable transportation and be punctual. Safety is a top priority for us. MSHA training will be provided.

Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour
