We’re looking for a Safety Coordinator to lead and support safety efforts at our Houston manufacturing facilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong understanding of OSHA compliance, workplace safety programs, and a proactive approach to creating a safe, compliant, and engaged workforce.

- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits across the manufacturing facility and warehouse.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, training documentation, and compliance logs.
- Deliver engaging safety training, onboarding sessions, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
- Train supervisors and leads on safety expectations and best practices.
- Support emergency response planning and lead periodic drills.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, QC, operations, and maintenance teams to improve safety culture.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across teams to reinforce safety awareness.
- Proven experience in a safety coordination role or similar position within an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques for incident investigation.
- Experience in developing training programs related to workplace safety practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train employees at all levels effectively.
- Ability to analyze data related to workplace incidents and recommend improvements.
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field; and 2 years of work-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
- Occupational Hygiene & Safety Technician (OHST certification preferred)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP preferred)
- OSHA 10 (preferred)
- Leadership experience supervising/working in a manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Experienced with MS Office programs.
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- 2–5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing related environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety practices, and incident response.
- Proven ability to analyze safety data and provide practical, improvement-focused solutions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to train and engage teams at all levels, including supervisors and frontline workers.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be comfortable be on-call.
