Wage: $22.00-$26.00 hourly FLSA Status: non-exempt Job Status: Full-time Amount of Travel Required: up to 25%
Reports to: Engineering Manager Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends
Automation Technician
The Automation Technician provides vital support to Engineering and Electronic Technician teams by aiding in the construction and maintenance of data acquisition systems and electronic devices. This role demands adaptability across diverse environments and proficiency in handling various electronic systems and equipment. Essential responsibilities include troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring system functionality. Strong problem-solving abilities are imperative for efficient issue diagnosis, while effective communication skills facilitate collaboration and project updates. Overall, the Automation Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of electronic systems and devices.

- Build and install electronic control panels
- Connect wiring, adjust configurations, and verify system operation
- Inspect, clean, and service returned equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues with guidance
- Test and calibrate equipment after repair or installation
- Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specs
- Maintain accurate records of work, repairs, and parts used
- Communicate with field staff to ensure job tasks are completed properly
- Safely work at heights (100 ft+) using lifts, ladders, and fall protection- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment
- Travel to and from job sites with reliable personal transportation

Skills & Abilities
Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience Experience: Familiarity with of basic computer skills and electronics preferredOther Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
