Automatio Technician

Responsibilities

· Assist in the installation and configuration of control systems

· Have basic knowledge of PLC, RTU, and HMI functions.

· Possess the ability to perform maintenance and troubleshoot control systems to ensure proper function.

· Possess the ability to log in, upload, and download configurations into RTU’s.

· Assist in the commissioning of new control systems.

· Have basic comprehension electrical one-lines, pneumatic schematics, loop drawings, and control narratives.

· Collaborate and provide input to help solve technical issues.

· Attend safety meetings, safety audits, and safety training sessions.

· Maintain records of control system configuration updates, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.

· Keep up with the latest technology in automation systems

· Oil & Gas experience is a recommended

Qualifications

· 1-2 years of experience in an industrial automation environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

· Participate with on-call schedule rotation.

· Familiarity with industrial control systems, such as PLCs, RTU, and HMIs.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols

ADDITIONAL NOTES

This will be 40 hours+ per week. Experience in electrical, automation and instrumentation are a plus.
