Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. This position is responsible for scheduling rail, truck and vessel shipments throughout the terminal operations to satisfy customer requirements. Maintains inventory positions related to the tank, truck and rail volumes. Tracks tank volumes and prepare reports for customers.
- Assess customer demands at both the receipt and delivery locations.
- Insure compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduce potential risk to public safety, the environment and minimize company exposure.
- Responsible for the daily movement schedule and the weekly movement projection schedule.
- Tracks the progress of trucks, rail and vessels.
- Communication link between our field personnel, terminal leadership and customer
- Acts as a strong team player in trouble-shooting measurement issues.
- Constantly interfacing with operations to assist in producing an accurate daily inventory balance.
- Analyze sales plans and develop plans to meet their needs within the rundown/runout spreadsheets.
- Develop movement schedule and daily movement orders and the weekly movement projection schedule.
- Tracks the progress of shipments between third party suppliers and/or internal supply sources and the terminal.
- Communicates movement requests both verbally and in writing to ensure proper shipment instructions.
- Maintains a continuous knowledge base of the rundown/runouts and supply levels.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts to minimize demurrage costs on shipments and meeting windows on deliveries.
A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years scheduling experience in a fast-paced petroleum products environment. Knowledge of product movements in the marine; rail, and truck areas. Strong mathematical and computer skills are needed. The successful applicant must deal with constant changes and variations. Having the ability to communicate effectively and clearly is a must for this position. Knowledge and mechanical aptitude of piping and equipment related to product movement is strongly recommended.
