Associate Project Developer

About This Job


Summary:


Assist the Project Developers with finding and negotiating Design-Build, CM and GC projects.

Assist the primary point of contact and relationship manager with a client throughout the entire project life cycle.

Assist in the development and maintenance of networks of past customers, influencers, and others to procure work.

Market and promote Bobbitt’s capabilities.

Serve as a resource to strategize sales.

Provide communication and financial management support to the Operations team during construction.

Be the sole leader of smaller projects through the Bobbitt Design-Build process



Roles & Responsibilities:


Business Results:

o Be a part of Finding, navigating, negotiating, and selling Design-Build construction, Construction Management, and General Contracting services.


o Maintain relationships with past customers.

o Ensure margin targets are achieved on projects.

o Work with the Business Development Team to win projects.


Customer Satisfaction (internal/external):


o Communicate with customers throughout the process.

o Grow relationships with customers to create a network of past customers.

o Communicate with team members; provide information early and often.

o Assist Project Developers to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project.


Safety and Risk Management:


o Wear PPE on jobsites.

o Assist PM & Superintendents in maintaining a safe workplace.

o ID safety concerns to design and construction early in projects


Communication:

o Ensure team & client understand the project plan.

o Utilize, and maintain preconstruction schedules with input from design and construction.


o Utilize project execution plans throughout preconstruction.


o Utilize win messaging plans.


o Maintain & distribute records of meetings.


Continuous Improvement:


o Develop a strategy for self-improvement.

o Actively engage in assigned Community Engagement activities.

o Be involved in chamber/non-profit boards and committees for leadership development, networking, and community service.


Quality:

o Ensure information is given to team members in a timely manner.

o Ensure information is given to clients in a timely manner.

o Follow up with customers 30-60 days after completion of construction for walkthrough/feedback.


Documentation:

o Follow Bobbitt project process plan for each project.

o Utilize Procore Tools for all project information.

o Ensure the consistent flow of information to project team.

o Maintain project documents (Schedule, Project Execution Plan, Win Messaging Plan, etc.)

Work Format:

This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.


Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel (10-15%) to meetings and events, typically within a 150-mile radius of the office.

Occasional travel to various job site locations as needed for photography or milestone events.



Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
