We’re seeking an Assistant Superintendent in Byers, CO. The Assistant Superintendent supports project leadership and the Superintendent. This is a leadership role responsible for field operations, overseeing crews and subcontractors, and safety compliance. This client-facing role liaisons with customers and vendors.

- Manage all aspects of field operations for utility construction projects
- Coordinate, and execute construction activities and project deliverables
- Serve as a contact for customers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Oversee crews, equipment, subcontractors, and safety compliance on job sites
- Drive team performance in productivity, quality, and safety
- Recruit, mentor, and develop employees to support succession planning and career growth
- Manage employee relations and development opportunities
- Champion safety by modeling safe behavior and enforcing standards
- Lead and participate in job hazard analysis and safety briefings
- Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance
- Analyze processes and procedures for continuous process improvement
- Monitor and improve operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist project financials, including identifying change orders and assessing schedule impacts
- Assist the planning and executing of projects and contracts
- Perform additional duties assigned- 3+ years of field experience within the Utilities Industry
- Valid Driver’s License
- DOT Medical Card – If driving company vehicle
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Travel as needed
- Exposure to a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- Walking on uneven and variable terrain for long periods
- Sitting for extended periods in an office environment
- Frequently standing, walking, stooping, climbing, bending and reaching
- Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment
- Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
