Job Description
We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team in
Lévis,
Quebec,
Monday to Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Under the supervision of the supervisor, the
Assistant Mechanicperforms various tasks to support the maintenance teams. This position exposes the candidate to various types of maintenance on fixed or mobile equipment. This is an opportunity for the candidate to start a career as a mechanic's assistant.
What you’re responsible for:
- Support the maintenance team in carrying out their work
- Prepare and clean surfaces in order to inspect and lubricate mechanical parts
- Lubricate equipment under the supervision of a mechanic
- Ensure the proper use and operation of company equipment
- Clean conveyors on the production line
- Ensure that machines on the production line are functioning properly
- Inform your immediate supervisor of any required action, any problems detected, or any delays
- Work safely and in compliance with the company's OHS policies and procedures
- Perform all other related tasks
- You are known for your excellent physical condition and your manual skills
- You are independent, methodical, and proactive
- You like to apply yourself and be conscientious in your work
- You have the ability to work alone and as part of a team
- You are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors (in cold temperatures) and in a dusty environment
