Assistant Facility/Operations Manager
Location:* Midland, TX
Reports To:* Facility/Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Assistant Facility Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the Midland facility, with responsibilities spanning field and shop activities, inventory control, safety compliance, and customer service coordination. This role works closely with the Facility/Operations Manager to maintain operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a knack for problem-solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
•Assist in overseeing daily field and shop operations to ensure alignment with company standards, efficiency, and compliance.
•Support scheduling, coordination, and documentation of shipments and equipment transfers.
•Aid in routine facility maintenance tasks, including inspections and minor repairs.
•Collaborate with team leads to meet production targets and reduce downtime.
Inventory Management & Ordering
•Track inventory levels regularly to ensure adequate stock and prevent shortages.
•Manage inventory records and assist in conducting regular cycle counts.
•Order materials and supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
•Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
•Review operational documents for regulatory and company compliance.
•Assist in safety inspections, ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
•Foster a clean, organized work environment by supporting the 5S program.
Employee Support
•Assist with onboarding and new hire training, in collaboration with the Facility/Operations Manager.
•Provide ongoing guidance to team members on operational procedures and safety practices.
•Help track and support employee performance, fostering development opportunities.
Customer Relations
•Aid in customer communications regarding service status, project updates, and resolution of any issues.
•Ensure customer requirements are met promptly and professionally.
•Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive service coordination.
Special Assignments & On-Call Support
•Support the execution of improvement projects and other initiatives as directed by the Facility/Operations Manager.
•Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure operational continuity.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
•Timely and accurate execution of operational tasks.
•Inventory accuracy with minimal discrepancies.
•Safety and regulatory compliance, including timely inspections.
•Customer satisfaction and effective issue resolution.
•Successful onboarding and employee development support.
Qualifications
•Previous experience in facility operations, inventory management, or a related field.
•Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•Familiarity with safety protocols and operational best practices.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
