The Asset Manager establishes and oversees the asset management team including the warehouse, reliability and CMMS staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Develops and implements asset management program, policies, and procedures, including the Strategic and Tactical Asset Management Plans for AlexRenew’s facilities.
•Develops, updates, and maintains standard operating procedures regarding the asset management program.
•Communicates the asset management program framework, including goals, strategies, and performance measures to staff.
•Collaborates with other departments to develop and update administrative, operational, and maintenance process maps.
•Regularly conducts risk and criticality analyses to support the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
•Reviews and updates failure criteria based on new input regarding levels of service and validates the shape factor curves for probability of failure.
•Ensures that the CMMS is timely administered and kept up to date.
•Incorporates data from AlexRenew capital projects into CMMS, including but not limited to, project documentation, record drawings, preventative maintenance scheduling, warranties, and GIS and inspection data.
•Researches and implements data best management practices.
•Oversees the CMMS and ensures that data entered is reliable and accurate, maintenance activities are properly triggered, and that the CMMS is utilized effectively.
•Contributes to the preparation of the annual budget and 10-year capital improvement program.
•Assists in the prioritization of projects based on criticality and risk factors.
•Assesses root cause of failures and tracks and monitors failure modes and rates – assists in implementing root cause analysis investigations.
•Oversees management of the warehouse and inventory of fixed assets and spare parts.
•Prepares reports and presentations regarding the performance of the water/wastewater facility assets and tracks the effectiveness of asset management strategies in improving level of service performance.
•Organizes and leads asset management working groups.
•Keeps up to date with asset management practices, principles and developments in the water/wastewater industry.
•Develops and/or selects adequate training programs to ensure continuous upskilling of employees.
•Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
•Ten (10) years of experience in managing assets, preferably in an operations and maintenance environment or the water or wastewater industry of which five (5) years of that experience is in management or supervisory capacity.
•Ability and willingness to obtain industry certifications as the needs arise.
•Demonstrated leadership and management skills.

•Knowledge and ability to analyze data and maintain computer records.
