Job Summary
We are seeking an Assembler/Driver to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling components accurately and efficiently to ensure high-quality locker and shelving products.
Seeking a qualified Warehouse Clerk/Delivery Driver for its fast-growing Newark, Delaware location.
- Pick customer orders & transfers using RF scanner
- Ensure orders are properly packed and labeled
- Safely operate lift trucks - electric and gas
- Load/unload product efficiently and accurately; assemble in identified area
- Load trucks with orders and transfers to match delivery route
- Verify product and product count is accurate
- Utilize proper PPE (i.e. safety shoes, gloves, safety harness, ladders)
- Housekeeping duties as part of daily routine or as directed
- Load trucks with orders and transfers to match delivery route
- Review delivery tickets and check date, directions, special instructions
- Check load for stability and that all product is secure
- Utilize GPS tracking System
- Deliver orders to jobsites and businesses in accordance with customer needs
- Deliveries should be made in a safe and efficient manner
- Document delivery and receipt according to company policy
- Perform DOT pre-trip inspection using pre-trip inspection sheet
- Obey all traffic regulations while operating a company owned vehicle on public roads or private property
- Assemble parts and components according to blueprints or work instructions
- Operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble products
- Work on an assembly line to meet production targets
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
The ideal Warehouse Assembler /Delivery Driver candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 1 year of Warehouse Experience
- Operate a computer based inventory system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible, organized and self-motivating
- Must demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Offer outstanding customer service
- Must be able to operate lift trucks
- Ability to operate a six-wheel box truck
- Possess or obtain D.O.T. certification
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory setting preferred
- Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and operate a forklift
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting assembly issues is a plus
- Experience working in a warehouse or on an assembly line is beneficial
