Must pass the background check and DOT drug screen / DOT physical Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on road construction sites such as oil, grease, gasoline, diesel fuel and asphalt concentrate at hot temperatures Shifts may vary according to project demands, so must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary and overtime when required Ability to work independently and effectively with others Understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the standards of the project Able to snap or screw on spray bars to attain required width of spay. Turn on valve to regulate flow of material at specified rate and adjust levers to adjust height of spray bar from road surface. Physical Requirements in order to perform the essential functions of the job: Constant physical effort, including standing and siting is required during a regular work shift Must be able to stoop, bend, and crouch as required.
