Job Summary
The Artificial Lift Technician II evaluates artificial lift installations and works to maximize production efficiencies by utilizing specialized equipment and closely monitoring production. This position is critical for maximizing pump efficiency to avoid critical equipment and down hole failures. The Artificial Lift Technician II works closely with Lease Operators, Production Engineers, Production Foremen and Workover Foremen.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Makes recommendations to optimize well work needed to maintain or increase optimum efficiencies by utilizing XSPOC to initiate field work for tracking and reporting result to appropriate field personnel and data basis.
•Aids and assists in maintaining all surface equipment.
•Provides guidance and ongoing training for field personnel to help them understand operation and information obtained from POCs, XSPOC and facilities operation.
•Trouble shoots, repairs, programs, and upgrades current information in POCs, XSPOC and analyzing equipment.
•Monitors, troubleshoots, and tests downhole ESP equipment including downhole monitoring tools (AMBIT/CYGNET/XSPOC ESP/Carte) to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
•Monitors, troubleshoots, and tests gas lift equipment including surface monitoring tools (CYGNET/Carte) to maximize well productivity and optimize gas lift injection rates.
•Performs ESP flushes and troubleshoots surface equipment such as checks, chokes, backpressure valves and injection meters.
•Assists with the set up and start of Gas Lift and ESP VSDs.
•Optimizes faulty settings during start up and operating conditions to minimize shut down of facilities and ensure maximum production rates.
•Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
•High school diploma (or GED).
•Minimum of Three (3) years Lease Operator experience working on CTBs and Eco-Pads.
•Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
•Ability to pass a respiratory fit test, if applicable to location.
•Ability to work nights and weekends.
•An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
•Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a more senior level Lease Operator (i.e, Lease Operator III or IV).
•Advanced computer skills.
•Housing within 50 miles of the assigned area of operation.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for an extended period of time.
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
•Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time.
•Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers.
•Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions.
•Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance.
•Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.
•Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects.
•Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
•Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in the field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
