Apprentice Welder/Fitter

REQUIREMENTS:

- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components with light gauge material

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

- Operate various tools and equipment such as calipers, press brake machines, shear machine, punch machine and other various equipment required for the position

- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in assembling light gauge materials

- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes

- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions

- W186 CWB ticket is an asset

Skills:

- Welding: Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG welding

- Fabrication: Skilled in fabricating light gauge metal structures and components according to specifications

- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately

- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles and metalworking processes

- Press Brake Machine: Experience operating press brake machines for bending and shaping metal

- Basic Math: Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions

- Crane: Familiarity with rigging equipment for lifting and moving heavy materials
