Analytical Chemist

SVL Analytical is a full-service environmental testing lab performing soil testing and water quality analysis for drinking water, surface or groundwater, and wastewater. We are focused on high quality results delivered in the format that our clients can use right away. We are looking for an Analytic chemist with a deep understanding of Laboratory work, experience with environmental methodologies and a grasp of general regulatory requirements, coupled with analytical lab techniques and QA requirements is preferred.

Job responsibilities:

- Follow established laboratory procedures

- Prepare laboratory samples and reagents for analyses

- Verify that laboratory equipment and instrumentation are set up and functioning properly

- Perform laboratory analysis of samples utilizing established techniques and quality control.

We require:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or related field

- Desire to learn and understand complex processes.

- Excellent computer skills

- Team player with integrity and concern for the quality of company products, services, and co-workers

- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and quickly problem solve

- Ability to read and understand written procedures

- Able to stand for 6-8 hours daily, manipulate small items manually and lift up to 50 lbs

- Previous laboratory experience is a big PLUS!
