This position is responsible for grading and stacking aluminum wheels onto pallets. Metal banding tools are used to secure stacked auto rims for safe loading. Training will be provided on sorting Chrome, Steel, and Aluminum wheels, as well as proper stacking methods based on pallet height (no higher than 5 or 6 high). The goal is to create straight, well-secured pallets that can be safely loaded with a forklift. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, follows directions, and works well outdoors in varied weather conditions. This role involves repetitive tasks and occasional odd jobs such as sorting, cleaning, and raking when wheels are not available to process.
- Grade wheels correctly (No Steel wheels, No Chrome wheels).
- Stack wheel pallets to the correct height (5 high or 6 high, as directed).
- Operate plastic wrap machine to secure banded wheel pallets in plastic wrap.
- Secure wheel pallets with metal banding tools, ensuring tight bands to prevent collapse.
- 20 lbs. to 45 lbs. auto rims.
- 30 lbs. wood pallets.
- Detail-oriented with ability to follow directions accurately.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain productivity.
