About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on AI Technical Project Manager to lead the development of an AI-driven platform that will revolutionize how construction projects are scheduled, coordinated, procured, tracked, and risk-managed.
This is a foundational leadership role, reporting directly to the founder (a seasoned construction executive). You will play a critical part in shaping the product roadmap, assembling and managing the team, and delivering AI-powered tools that solve real-world construction challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development
•Translate a high-level product vision into actionable development phases.
•Define MVPs and timelines for core modules (scheduling, procurement, progress tracking, etc.).
•Prioritize feature development based on business impact, technical feasibility, and user needs.
Team Assembly & Leadership
•Identify, vet, and onboard AI engineers, software developers, data scientists, and designers.
•Define team structure and responsibilities across product, tech, and design.
•Lead internal and external contributors with clear goals, accountability, and agile coordination.
Product Development Management
•Break down construction-specific problems into clear technical requirements.
•Oversee execution using agile tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira), managing progress, dependencies, and blockers.
•Ensure all outputs are aligned with user needs, industry standards, and construction best practices.
Systems Integration & Oversight
•Supervise integration with industry tools (Primavera P6, Revit, Navisworks, Lidar/photogrammetry, etc.).
•Review and guide outputs from AI/ML modules (automated scheduling, delay analysis, quantity takeoff, etc.).
•Coordinate across multiple product layers including 3D models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Testing, Demos & Continuous Improvement
•Lead module testing and performance validation efforts.
•Create and deliver demos for clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.
•Gather feedback and iterate to continuously improve the product.
Qualifications
Required:
•5–10+ years of experience in technical project management, AI product development, or construction tech leadership.
•Proven track record managing cross-functional teams (engineering, data, product).
•Deep understanding of construction workflows: scheduling, procurement, BIM, claims, and progress tracking.
•Strong familiarity with AI/ML development lifecycles and productization.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to translate between construction and engineering teams.
Necessary Skills:
•Experience with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
•Familiarity with BIM tools like Revit, Navisworks.
•Background in construction engineering, AI, or software development.
•Startup or early-stage product development experience.
