This position focuses on the design, development, and support of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to meet the organization's operational and strategic needs. The AI Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting AI solutions including support for tools such as Azure OpenAI, Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Anthropic Claude, etc. The position will build and optimize AI/ML models, integrating them with critical business applications, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms, and data engineering, while also possessing excellent communication and customer service skills. Responsibilities will include end-to-end AI solution development, from data preparation to application integration, model deployment and continuous monitoring. Responsibilities for any and all AI solutions will evolve throughout the years as business and IT support needs change. Desired is a candidate with an ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, interpret business requirements, and deliver innovative, reliable, and secure AI solutions.

Job Duties
•AI Solution Development & Support: Implements and optimizes AI/ML models to solve business problems. Develops and integrates AI/ML pipelines with enterprise applications. Provides tier 2 and tier 3 support for AI-related systems.
•Data Preparation & Analysis: Sources and prepares data for AI/ML model training and testing. Conducts data analysis to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
•Model Deployment & Continuous Monitoring: Deploys AI solutions in production environments and monitors model performance. Troubleshoots and refines AI models based on performance metrics and user feedback.
•Collaboration & Project Leadership: Collaborates with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and deliver AI solutions. Leads projects and contributes to cross-functional initiatives.
•Documentation & Standards Development: Prepares technical documentation for AI solutions, including architecture diagrams and workflows. Contributes to the development of AI/ML best practices and standards within the organization.
•Continuous Improvement: Engages in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging AI technologies and industry best practices. Identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement in AI development and operations.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
•Level I: Entry-level position. Foundational knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, data preparation, and cloud platforms is expected.
•Level II: Minimum of 2 years in AI/ML model development, application development, implementation, and troubleshooting.
•Level III: Minimum of 4 years in AI/ML model development, application development, implementation, and troubleshooting.
•Level IV: Minimum of 6 years in AI/ML model development, application development, designing scalable AI systems, and leading AI projects.
•Level V: Minimum of 8 years in AI/ML solution development, application development, system architecture, and managing large-scale AI projects.
Equivalent Experience:
•Level I: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
•Level II: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
•Level III: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
•Level IV: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
•Level V: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Responsibility:
•Level I: Assists with AI/ML model development and data preparation. Participates in testing and troubleshooting under supervision. Gains exposure to AI/ML frameworks and tools.
•Level II: Independently develops and supports AI/ML models, implements new AI initiatives, and begins taking on more complex development and troubleshooting tasks.
•Level III: Manages the development, deployment, and monitoring of AI/ML systems. Begins to lead small projects and works closely with teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of AI solutions.
•Level IV: Leads projects for the design, deployment, and optimization of AI solutions. Takes on a leadership role in AI development, integration, and troubleshooting while providing guidance across IT functions.
•Level V: Oversees major AI initiatives and provides leadership in architecting and managing large-scale AI solutions. Serves as a subject matter expert and provides strategic direction for AI governance and compliance.

Specialized Skills:
+ Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
+ Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with other languages like JavaScript or R.
+ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
+ Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Snowflake.
+ Experience with data preparation, feature engineering, and model optimization techniques.
+ Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN).
+ Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.).
+ Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML model deployment.
+ In-depth understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
+ Familiarity with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
+ Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
