In this 12-month role, the Advisor, Inclusion, Psychological Health and Safety will work with internal teams and partners to develop, deliver, and evaluate psychological health and safety and DEI education, resources, and programs at ATCO. You’ll help foster cultural understanding and drive systemic change by creating impactful programs and training. Success in this role requires authenticity, trust-building, and the ability to bridge knowledge gaps for a more inclusive environment. - Support the development and delivery of psychological health and safety education and resources
- Collaborate with internal partners (HR, LR, Legal, Finance, Operations, OHS, IT) and external service providers to ensure program quality and risk management
- Support communication strategies to keep employees informed about psychological health and safety impact and progress
- Support development and delivery of DEI education and resources
- Support the creation, implementation, and evaluation of DEI plans, programs, and initiatives in partnership with DEI committees, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and DEI council
- Build and leverage relationships across DEI committees and within the organization to advance DEI goals and collaboration
- Consult and advise HR specialists, leaders, and interested/affected partners on DEI issues, embedding DEI principles in HR policies and practices
- Promote tools and resources to enhance employee understanding of DEI
- Support communication strategies to keep employees informed about DEI impact and progress
- Lead and support meetings, committees, focus groups, and project teams related to psychological health and safety and DEI
- Work with third-party administrators, vendors, and internal departments
- Support new projects and initiatives related to psychological health & safety and DEI
- Identify trends and emerging issues, supporting the development of organization-wide and case-specific action plans based on legislation and best practices
- Gather and report quality data for analysis, decision-making, and auditing purposes
- Post-secondary education in HR Management, Business Administration, social sciences, social justice, human ecology, or related field
- 3+ years of related experience in psychological health and safety, DEI, occupational health and safety, wellness, or related disciplines, with emphasis on managing multiple initiatives and process enhancements- Experience developing, coordinating, and implementing psychological health and safety, occupational health and safety, wellness and/or DEI programs, policies, and/or organizational change strategies using an evidence-based best practice approach.
- Passion for elevating employee experience, psychological health and safety, wellness, and DEI; creative, user-centric, and bold agent for change
- Experience collaborating and engaging with internal and external interested/affected parties
- Experience working with diverse communities, groups and/or organizations (i.e. ethno-cultural, equity-setting, racialized, faith-based, LGBTQ2S+, vulnerable, marginalized, persons with disabilities, and persons across all age groups, etc.) - Previous experience working in a large enterprise organization (5000+ employees)- Your authenticity and a deep understanding of what it is to be part of an equity seeking community
- An excellent communicator with the ability to bring challenging topics to the table in an empathetic way to engage team members in developing strategies and solutions
- Strong team player with proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- A self-starter with a results-oriented work style
- CCIP, CPHR, PMP, and/or Certified Change Management Professional or related designations are all assets
