Accounts Receivable Analyst

Rote Oil is seeking a detail oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Analyst to work with our customers and team members. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, account credit analysis and collection efforts. The candidate will have proven experience in billing and accounts receivable with a solid understanding of accounting principles and collection procedures. The candidate will work well with others and have excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and proficiency in problem solving will be required.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

1. Work with customers to answer account questions in a timely manner by emailing invoice copies, process payments or customer requests.

2. Process daily ACH payments and submit bank file to bank.

3. Process daily check and credit card deposits.

4. Apply daily payments to customer accounts.

5. Review accounts receivable aging and performs collections calls with customers with past due balances in a timely and professional manner.

6. Submit invoices for payment via credit card or to customer websites.

7. Utilize technology/computers to make information more readily available to customers and upper management.

8. Setup new customers in accounting software.

9. Calculate and file NORA taxes.

10. Calculate, review and update customer budget billings.

11. Maintain and update Cardlock system. Import daily files to accounting system.

12. Uses Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets.

13. Performs account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

14. Month end close processes within 5-7 business days.

15. Print and review monthly customer statements.

16. Ad hoc reports for customers.

Requirements: Experience/skills: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting/billing/collections experience. Must have strong/advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word. Proficiency in using accounting software. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits and account analysis. Strong negotiation skills for effective communication with customers regarding outstanding balances. Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism. Strong math skills.
