We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk who will also serve as an Office Administrator. This dual-role position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing payments, and supporting day-to-day administrative operations in the office. This position would be based out of our Thunder Bay market office located in Rosslyn.
This role will report to the Controller for Sarjeant Propane.
- Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments to vendors.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end financial close processes.
- Prepare and process expense reports and employee reimbursements.
- Support office operations, including ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Welcome visitors and answer main office phone lines professionally.
- Coordinate with other departments for administrative and financial tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in an office administration role.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and office applications (MS Office, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including drug and alcohol screening and physical.
- Must possess a valid G class driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle.
- Reliable commute to or residing in Thunder Bay.
