Accounting Assistant – New Graduate Opportunity

Job Summary

Five Hills Mining Canada is a fully owned Canadian company providing end-to-end management in the coal industry. Our headquarters, E-Commodity, is a publicly listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2010. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated recent graduate to support our ongoing business growth based in Grande Cache, Alberta.

This role is ideal for a recent Master’s graduate in Accounting from a top Canadian university who is fluent in Mandarin and holds a valid Canadian work permit. The successful candidate will contribute to the financial operations of our organization and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and expanding business environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping on a monthly basis

- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

- Accurately record all financial transactions

- Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements

- Maintain an up-to-date general ledger and supporting documentation

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and industry best practices

Qualifications

- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required

- Must hold a valid work permit in Canada

- Master’s degree in Accounting from a top Canadian university

- Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems (required)

- Strong communication skills and professional presence

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- Professional references required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
