Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is essential for supporting the overall financial health of the organization and requires a strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles.
Duties
•Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
•Manage accounts receivable by processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
•Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
•Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
•Utilize accounting software such as Sage or Xero for various financial tasks.
•Support financial auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
•Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documents for easy retrieval.
•Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information as needed.
Experience
•Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role is preferred.
•Familiarity with corporate finance principles and practices.
•Proficiency in budgeting, account reconciliation, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation tasks.
•Experience using accounting software such as Sage or Xero is a plus.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.
