As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in supporting accounting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include compiling and Interpreting financial Information for management decision making; as well as, looking for ways to optimize business processes through technology and automation, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. Responsibilities/Expectations:

Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
Handles deferred revenue schedules and volume profiles for floating production spar
Prepares revenue entries for offshore gas pipelines, offshore crude pipelines, and floating production spar
Analyzes monthly fluctuations in volumes/activity and explains variances
Comprehends and prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Provides information and explanations for audit requests from internal/external auditors
Maintains accounts receivable and accounts payable for multiple entities
Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years experience in accounting in the energy industry
Preferred: CPA


Other Requirements:

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills
Preferred: Revenue Accounting Experience, JV Accounting Experience, Financial Reporting
Preferred: Experience with Oracle ERP or similar applications
