We are looking for an experienced Accountant/FP&A to oversee general accounting operations by verifying financial transactions. A successful candidate must have excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to create and analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Responsibilities
•Work cross functionally with company departments on cost accounting and reporting requirements.
•Periodic operational metrics analysis and tracking.
•Participate in forecast and budget planning.
•Perform deep dive reviews of profit and cost centers, highlighting key drivers and/or abnormalities while resolving problems effectively through identification of root causes.
•Identify and take actions to mitigate excess inventory to minimize obsolescence cost.
•Analyze and reconcile expenditure and revenue accounts to ensure accuracy.
•Perform Inventory Variance Analysis and Inventory Amount Calculations.
•Assist in the preparation and completion of all tasks associated with the monthly accounting and closing cycle.
•Analyzes performance reports, margin account variance analyses, key operating statistics, price/volume variances and operating results on a monthly basis.
•Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
•Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
•Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
•Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Skills
•Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
•Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
•In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•Awareness of business trends
•Experience with general ledger functions
•ERP experience Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
•Advanced MS Excel skills; Power BI
•Accuracy and attention to detail
•Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
•BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
•Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
