Responsibilities:
•Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to job specifications.
•Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
•Select appropriate tools, dies, and materials for each job.
•Measure and inspect finished pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
•Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
•Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
•Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
•Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
•Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
•Interest in Press Brakes or school trained.
•Interest in forming/bending of various metal on a variety of CNC press brakes
•Ability to understand blueprints, while understanding how the measurement and tolerances relate to the finished product including bend tolerances. Willing to train.
•Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.
•Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Action-oriented, customer service-oriented attitude, taking initiative to follow projects and jobs through the production process.
•Engaging personality capable of generating and growing meaningful relationships with coworkers.
Preferred Experience
•Associates degree or equivalent, relevant experience preferred
•1-3 years’ experience working on press brakes
•2+ years' experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable but not required.
•Experience meeting deadlines
•Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
