Job Description:
•
Plans assembly procedures following job specifications
•
Filing and grinding of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
•
Drills, taps, or reams holes.
•
Aligns components and bolts them together.
•
Installs moving parts, such as shafts or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
•
Aligns and meshes gears to assemble system of gears.
•
Installs mesh cloth, perforated plate, or urethane panels.
•
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
•
Uses hoists and cranes to move or assemble subcomponents
•
Operates magnetic drills, grinders, reamers, and impacts, as necessary.
•
Responsible for care and use of tools and returns to crib when done.
•
Must be able to read a tape measure and prints
