The Hitachi Energy location in Jefferson City, MO is a premier designer and manufacturer of distribution transformers for the electric grid, commercial data centers, industrial facilities, wind & solar alternative energy sources. As a quality engineering intern in our manufacturing operation, you will mainly be assigned to continuous improvement projects to improve product quality, productivity, and cost improvements for our transformer manufacturing.
Your Responsibilities
- Participating and supporting kaizen events & other improvement projects.
- Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings, scrap, rework and first past yield performance.
- Support the Continuous Improvement teams utilizing tools from the 4Q Quality process.
- Process stability and capability projects to enhance Standardized Work, process flow, and built in quality.
- Work area layout improvements and one-piece flow improvements.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- High attention to detail and c ommitment to accuracy.

- Rising Junior/Senior in Engineering field
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical , Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States.
