BHE Renewables owns interests in several independent power projects in the U.S. BHE Renewables owns solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and natural gas projects that largely sell their output to regulated utilities. The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance. Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects, activities, and operations that occur within a renewable energy business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.
- Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in finance or accounting
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective project management skills.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within tight deadlines

- Support the management of our tax equity portfolio, through responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: conducting diligence and financial analysis for targeted transactions, engage in asset management activities and assist with establishing our 2027 business and 10-year plans
- Gain hands on experience with complex financial products, managing a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio and establishing business plans as well as potential opportunities to get involved with acquisition activities
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
