About This Job

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dependable and experienced CNC Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Operator to operate and maintain Haas VF Series vertical machining centers (VF-2, VF-3, VF-5, or VF-7), with opportunities to work on 4th- and 5th-axis setups. This role requires flexibility to run multiple machines based on production needs, along with strong knowledge of CNC milling processes. Ideal candidates will be proficient in machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of Haas CNC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Set up and operate Haas vertical machining centers according to work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.

•

Load raw material, run production cycles, and monitor in-process parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

•

Perform tool setup and minor program edits directly on the machine control.

•

Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect in-process parts and document results.

•

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

•

Perform basic maintenance and notify appropriate personnel of mechanical issues.

•

Work closely with supervisors and engineering staff to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

•

2+ years of experience operating CNC vertical mills; Haas experience strongly preferred.

•

Familiarity with G-code and the Haas control interface.

•

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

•

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

•

Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

•

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification a plus.

Work Environment:

•

Machine shop environment with routine exposure to machining noise and materials.

•

May require standing for long periods and lifting parts or tools up to 30 lbs.

Work Schedule & Pay:

•

Shift: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

•

Breaks: Includes one 10-minute paid break and one 15-minute paid lunch per shift.

•

Pay Range: Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

•
