Director, Asset Development – Renewables

We’re looking for a commercially driven Director of Asset Development to lead renewable project sourcing and execution. You’ll work at the intersection of development, utilities, and infrastructure strategy, owning deals from concept to close.

🔧 What You’ll Do

🔹 Lead development of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, storage)

🔹 Oversee site selection, permitting, and regulatory processes

🔹 Evaluate infrastructure feasibility and fuel supply for thermal opportunities

🔹 Structure and negotiate energy procurement deals

🔹 Analyze utility tariffs and pricing structures to optimize project economics

🔹 Set and track KPIs for contracted and operational capacity

🌍 Travel ~30% of the time

🧠 You Bring

✅ Proven experience developing renewable energy projects

✅ Strong understanding of permitting, PPAs, and regulatory frameworks

✅ Success closing commercial energy deals — especially thermal or hybrid

✅ Deep knowledge of utility rate structures and project modeling

✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
