Job Summary

We are 49 years in business and seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. Work year-round with no lay-off. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our Whitesboro location by ensuring that materials and yard are organized and accessible. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

•

Operate forklift and pallet jack to move materials throughout the yard.

•

Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to load and unload shipments and customer orders.

•

Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all items are accurately processed.

•

Engage in order picking activities, preparing items for shipment or pickup according to customer specifications.

•

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and warehouse areas.

•

Follow OSHA regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

•

Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications

•

Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.

•

Familiarity with construction supplies and equipment is a plus.

•

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

•

Ability to perform heavy lifting (70 pounds+) consistently throughout the shift.

•

Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.

•

Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

•

A strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
