Yard Person/General Labourer

OVERVIEW:

The main duties of this role involve preparing equipment for installation, unloading deliveries, keeping the yard clean and organized, and installing propane tanks at customer locations as needed. The Yard Assistant/General Labourer will also assist with gardening, yard upkeep, and other landscaping duties.

This is a temporary position until the end of August 2025, offering between 25 to 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in preparing equipment for installation.

- Help unload trucks and organize materials in the yard.

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard area.

- Install propane tanks at customer sites as needed, following all safety protocols and guidelines.

- Support the delivery of lubricants and skid tanks.

- Assist with gardening tasks such as planting, watering, and weeding.

- Participate in yard maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging.

- Support landscaping projects by helping with mulching, planting, and sodding.

- Safely and effectively operate basic landscaping tools and equipment.

- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.

- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.

- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in general labor, yard maintenance, or landscaping preferred.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.

- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment operation.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
