We have an immediate full-time opening for a Quarry Yard Loader/Operator at our Valley Plant in the Galesburg, IL area. This is a 1st shift, Monday through Friday position, with occasional Saturdays required depending on business needs. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed. Flexibility in their day, ability to adapt to changes, and the willingness to help the team in whatever way is needed is crucial. Quarry Yard Loader/Operator Candidate Requirements

- Safety-Focused

- Driven to provide excellent customer service

- 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment

- Ability to perform duties in all weather conditions

- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic

Quarry Yard Loader/Operator Major Responsibilities Include

- Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA

- Operate a medium-sized front-end loader (similar to a CAT 980) to efficiently and accurately load customer trucks and maintain stockpiles.

- Provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers and haulers.

- Use tablet-based communication system to manage customer transactions and needs.

- Perform pre-shift inspections, fueling and greasing, preventive maintenance, and cleaning as required.

- Communicate with management on all safety, maintenance, and production needs

- Perform other tasks (including tasks outside core loading responsibilities) as assigned by supervisor
