Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: M-F, Some Weekend Availability Required
Job Summary
The Workover Rig Floorhand/Derrickhand assists the Operator in a multitude of functions including but not limited to: tripping pipe, handling tongs, making connections, cleaning, operating machines, and maintenance of equipment used on a workover rig.

Essential Job Functions:
•
Perform services on oil and gas wells as part of a 3-5 person workover rig crew.
•
Assist with loading and unloading pipe and other components from truck to rig.
•
Pick up and lay down tubing.
•
Obtain a valid driver's license to operate a crew truck when necessary.
•
Lift, remove, install, and operate well pump head and jacks, and performs other tasks as designated by the operator(s) or operator(s) of the company.
•
Position, lift, attach, install, and work with matting boards, tubing, rods, casing, and any associated well equipment such as rod strippers, polish rods, etc.
•
Operate rod wrenches, tongs, elevators, and other associated rig tools and equipment.
•
Report safety hazards, accidents, and/or maintenance issues to the supervisory rig hand.
•
Complete required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, and attend safety meetings as required.
•
Play a role in the company's Behavior Based Safety and Proactive Reporting Program
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•
Workover rig experience: Floorhand, Derrickhand, Operator.
•
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
•
Must have basic problem solving and organizational skills.
•
Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift objects of up to 75 pounds for extended periods of time.
•
Must be able to work with a team.
•
Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
•
Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.
•
Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions such as rain, heat/cold, and exposure to loud noises.
