The Workers' Compensation and Special Projects EHS Manager is responsible for managing the workers' compensation program and overseeing EHS-related special projects within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing claims and return-to-work processes, developing proactive injury prevention strategies, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety and employee well-being. The Manager will also lead and support special EHS projects aimed at enhancing environmental, health, and safety performance across the company.
* Claims Management: Oversee the management of workers' compensation claims, from reporting through resolution, ensuring that all claims are handled promptly and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
* EHS Initiatives: Lead and manage special projects focused on improving the overall EHS performance, including but not limited to safety audits, safety training programs, ergonomic assessments, and sustainability initiatives.
Safety and Risk Management:* Safety Compliance: Oversee the implementation of safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Legal, Operations, and other departments to ensure alignment in workers' compensation management and safety initiatives.Requirements:Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Environmental Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Experience:* At least 5-7 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management, including workers' compensation and special projects.
Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or other EHS-related certifications preferred.Skills:* Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
