Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Wire EDM Operator to support precision machining operations using Mitsubishi Wire EDM equipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in machine setup, blueprint reading, and quality control, and capable of producing high-tolerance parts for tooling and manufacturing applications.
Key Responsibilities
•Set up and operate Mitsubishi Wire EDM machines for a variety of parts and materials.
•Select and secure fixtures, wire, and workpieces as needed to meet job specifications.
•Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G and M codes.
•Maintain and troubleshoot EDM machines for optimal performance.
•Interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and technical drawings to ensure part accuracy.
•Use precision measuring instruments to verify part conformance to specifications.
•Document work activities using control charts, travelers, and ERP systems.
•Perform daily cleaning of the work tank, wire path, and machine components.
•Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and part quality.
•Follow all company safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 2 years of Wire EDM experience.
•Strong understanding of wire types, sizes, and EDM parameters.
•Proficiency with blueprint and tool & die drawing interpretation.
•Experience with Mitsubishi controls preferred.
•Proficiency in BOBCAD, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks (minimum 2 years).
•Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude.
•Manufacturing or industrial work experience required.
