About Us

Peaskie Minerals is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.

Please note this is NOT a camp position. Candidates must live in the area or be willing to commute.

Position: Winch Truck Operator

Terms of Employment: Seasonal

Rate: $42.12/hourly, Overtime after 8 hours per day

Schedule: 5 on / 2 off, Days (Ability to work overtime and varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays) - 10 hours per day

Duties & Responsibilities

•

Transports heavy equipment and materials throughout various job sites

•

Load and unload equipment and materials as required, following safety rules and regulations

•

Ensure loads are secure using proper tools (chains, tarps, etc.)

•

Maintain vehicle log book and field level hazard assessments in an accurate and timely manner

•

Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip on assigned truck daily

•

Clean and maintain assigned truck during and after each use

•

Understand and obey all provincial highway rules and regulations

•

Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics

•

Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics

•

Other duties as assigned

Education & Training

•

Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license

•

Heavy equipment operation an asset

•

Trailer configuration experience (jeeps, wheelers, etc.)

•

Off road experience an asset

•

Oversize load experience an asset

Physical requirements

•

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

•

Must be able to talk and hear audible sounds and voices

•

Must be able to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, feel and reach with hands and arms.

•

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and on occasion up to 70 lbs.

•

Ability to perform physically demanding work including repetitive crouching, bending, kneeling, and shoveling.

•

Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

•

This is a safety sensitive position. The candidate in this role must be able to pass a functional fit test as well as a drug and alcohol test.
