Wheel loader/Excavator Operator Stone Quarry

Job Description

The wheel loader, excavator Operator positions report to the Plant Manager and will be in a role of loading haul trucks in a stone quarry. Ability to perform general maintenance on machine and help with daily maintenance.

POSITION SUMMARY

- The successful candidates will be energetic, dependable and a self-motivated person, who can work in a busy quarry atmosphere

- Responsible for keeping a steady consistent feed to the plant hopper

- The ability to operate hand and foot controls in vehicle

- Operate service equipment and perform regular maintenance on equipment

- Perform daily inspection of vehicle at site

- Perform pre-operation check of equipment and complete documentation

- At times there will be physical labor such as shoveling

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team

- This is a quarry operation digging in quarry shots

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime during peak production times

- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
