Shift: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM with mandatory OT when applicable
Summary: The Welding WAC is responsible for overseeing the process of welding quality product.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- First point of contact for welders to assist with questions or general needs.
- Ensures hand welders understand their current and upcoming tasks.
- Lead training and continuous improvement of welders.
- Assists with any questions or concerns regarding work instructions.
- Ensures welders have the correct parts for scheduled jobs.
- Communicate with area lead on employee performance.
- Retrieve and organize parts, pallets, carts, racks etc. as required.
- Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Assists Manufacturing Lead with work instructions.
- Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and ISO protocol.
- Leads a weekly deep cleaning schedule and ensures work areas are kept clean daily.
- Issues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to appropriate cells and/or individuals.
- Examines and inspects components for defects and reports any concerns to supervisors.
- Evaluate and communicate needs for additional equipment/tools for the assembly area.
- Fill in for hand welders while away from work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: At least 3-5 years of welding experience and at least one year of team lead experience or equivalent.
