In the role of CWI Inspector, we'll count on you to:
•Perform visual bolt and weld field inspections and the writing and preparation of related reports. 90% of our CWI work includes bolts and welds. 10% would include welder certifications for clients.
•Assist in the coordination and scheduling of inspections.
•Help with special inspections as a delegate with the ability to work closely with engineers while in the field.
•The drive to move towards ICC certifications for structural steel and bolting, masonry, and concrete..
•Collaborate and work well with clients and fellow team members.
•Other duties as assigned including helping in materials testing, as needed. Training in materials testing will be provided.
Qualifications:
•This an entry level position.
•Current CWI Certification required. If you do not currently have CWI certification you will need the ability and skills to become a CWI within 6 months of employment. The primary duty will be visual bolt and weld inspections for projects with municipalities, military projects, school districts, and projects such as hotels and condominiums.
•Superior technical ability.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Highly effective interpersonal skills.
•Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
•Must be able to reach, lift, and perform work above shoulder height, including height work - and the ability to work on uneven and obstructed surfaces.
•Must be able to pass a drug screen and federal background check for military base access.
•Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
Travel Required - Occasional travel – 1-5 nights per month in the Panama City area.
